About This Spot

Stepping into Curly's Gleed Tavern feels like slipping into a warm, familiar embrace—a true dive bar where the community gathers not just for drinks but for shared moments that linger long after the last pool ball drops. The entrance, cozy and unassuming, leads into a space that opens up with a sense of ease and welcome, as if the walls themselves invite you to slow down and stay awhile.

The rhythm here isn’t rushed. It’s a place where conversations unfurl naturally over frosty pints of IPA, and the clack of pool balls punctuates the friendly buzz. Festive touches in the décor hint at the pride this local gem takes in its character, while the ever-present energy reminds you it’s a spot alive with good-hearted competition and casual fun. Whether you’re testing your bowling strength or sharing a platter of nachos with friends, it’s easy to feel like you’ve found a spot that’s part tavern, part living room.

Curly’s charm also lies in the people who bring it to life. From the waitress who remembers your favorite pour to the neighbors you’ve yet to meet, there’s a genuine warmth that flows through the room. Here, “quick service” doesn’t feel rushed but attentive, a subtle dance of care that lets you relax without ever feeling forgotten.

This isn’t a place of pretense or polished formality. It’s the kind of bar where both regulars and first-timers can share smiles, friendly challenges over pool, and the simple comfort of a solid club sandwich. If you’re drawn to places that hold stories in their walls and welcome you like an old friend, Curly’s Gleed Tavern quietly stands ready to add your own chapters to their ongoing tale.

when Frank Lloyd Wright designed homes, many of them started with small entrances with low ceilings that opened up into bigger spaces meant to feel like the building itself was giving you a hug this design was called ‘compression and release’. Curly’s in Gleed, i believe is a perfect example of this. the first, small room is the entrance, grab a drink or a pitcher for $14.50 cash, and move into the billiard room where you will be greeted by 4 pool tables and a rowdy crowd. there’s outdoor seating out front, and the bartenders were cool, calm, and collected — despite the place pumping. Curly’s has all the ambiance you would expect for a bar in rural america. bring cash, expect to take in a little second hand smoke, and let the good times roll.

OMG..What a wonderful place to stop after a round of golf at Suntides Golf Course. A great place for a cold beer and the best burger in town. The staff there is awesome, especially that Hotty Kathy..... she can mix my drink anytime!!! she's definitely a " birdie" !!!! after a day of double bogies on the course.
